Roy E. Sommer Golf Scramble

Roy was NCCC's first Athletic Director serving from 1963-1979. Roy was responsible for the growth and success of the athletic program in its formative years. As coach, Roy posted a 145-69 record in eight seasons at the helm of the men's basketball team. He led the team to multiple conference crowns and a ninth-place finish in the nationals. In bowling, Roy guided the men's team to two national titles and three top-four finishes and the women's team to three second-place and one third-place finish in the nation. Roy was instrumental in starting the golf team at NCCC, and in 1993 guided the squad to its first and only NJCAA Region III Championship.

21st Annual 5K Run Walk

The Alumni Association is hosting its 21st Annual 5K Run/Walk on Friday, September 13, 2019. The course is a fast, flat course around the scenic NCCC campus in Sanborn, NY. Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age category for the 5K Race. The price to participate in the 5K Run is $25.00 if you register before September 12, 2019 and $30.00 on race day. The price to participate in the Walk is $15.00. The fee includes an official Alumni 5K Run t-shirt to the first 150 participants, a post-race party with refreshments, music, and awards.

Since 1990, all those who believe in the mission of NCCC and its scholarship program have gathered for an evening dedicated to the students. Last year, the NCCC Foundation Scholarship Gala raised over $100,000 to support student scholarships at NCCC.
