Ms. Ellen Latham graduated from Niagara County Community College in 1977 with her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Science. Ellen then attended the University at Buffalo where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology.

Inspired by her father Arthur Calandrelli, a very popular Physical Education teacher and coach in Niagara Falls, NY and her passion for physical fitness, Ellen designed “The Ultimate Workout” which became the foundation for Orangetheory Fitness that she is a Partner and Founder of.

Not only does Ellen see a fit body and mind as the ultimate healthy lifestyle, but she also carries her commitment to the wellbeing of others into her charitable work. Currently residing in Fort Lauderdale, Ellen and her studio sponsors a variety of different fundraisers including for Parkinson’s, the Lung Association, ALS Challenge, Veterans, and local children’s causes. This self-made entrepreneur has never forgotten her Niagara County roots.

Each year Ellen returns to Western New York to contribute her fitness expertise to institutions such as the YMCA. She is a firm believer of giving back to her community. The local area Orangetheory Fitness studios have raised money for various charities including the Oishei Children’s Hospital, Meals on Wheels, the WNY Food Bank, the Autism Run, and numerous others. She was also the 2016 Commencement Speaker for Niagara County Community College and has sponsored and donated to the NCCC 5K Run/Walk and NCCC Foundation Scholarship Gala.

Named one of “The Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Businesses” in 2017 by Forbes, Ellen has received a myriad of accolades for her success. This includes the Seventh Annual Women of Worth Award, the IHRSA Woman Leader of the Year, and EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Service Based Business.

Motivating and training clients for over 35-years, Ellen is thankful that NCCC inspired and motivated her to pursue her passion of education, physical fitness, and giving back to your community.
