P/T Piano Accompanist – Anticipated Position


DATE DUE: Continuous

DESCRIPTION:

Position reports to the music coordinator. Provide piano accompaniment for music and applied music classes, choral rehearsals, recitals, concerts, and/or other special events at the college as per the direction of the music coordinator. Position is part-time not exceed 5 hours per week at a rate of $13.00/hour (additional hours possible). Evening and weekend time may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or its equivalent; at least one year of choral and recital accompaniment experience. Formal study of the piano may be substituted for professional work experience. Ability to sigh-read music for piano at all levels of difficulty and the ability to read open score are fundamental to this position.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in piano, collaborative piano, or accompanying.
