Are you planning to graduate?

Are you planning to graduate in May, August, or December? Visit Grad Fair 2024 and complete all your graduation details in one stop! Eliminate questions you may have relative to graduation. 15 minutes at the Grad Fair will save hours of your time!

Graduation Checklist

Enrollment Center

Run a Degree Evaluation:

  • Go to the SUNY Niagara homepage
  • Click on MySUNY Niagara
  • Select Degree Works
  • Sign in using your Twolves username and password.
  • Your degree evaluation for your current major will display. You may print by clicking the printer icon on the top right corner of the page.
  • Review your program requirements to see if you are lacking in any areas. If anything is missing, contact your academic advisor.

Apply for graduation:

Students can complete the online graduation application by following these steps:

  • Log into Banner Web
  • Click on Student Records
  • Select Apply for Graduation
  • If you are currently enrolled in classes, select the current term from the drop-down menu. If you are not enrolled in classes, your last term of attendance will appear in the drop-down to select.
  • Select the major you are applying for. If you are planning to earn more than one degree/certificate in the same semester; you must submit a separate application for each. If you do not see your major listed, please contact the Enrollment Center at 716-614-6250.
  • Indicate if you plan to attend Commencement
  • Select how you would like your name to appear on your diploma
  • Confirm your mailing address. If your mailing address has changed, please update the Personal Information tab of Banner Web.
  • Select Submit Request. You can view your submitted application under the Student Records tab of Banner Web

Graduation Application Deadlines:

  • Spring 24- 4/28/24
  • Summer 24- 8/16/24
  • Fall 24- 12/13/24

Wellness Center - Immunization Records

Immunization Records

  • Immunization Records will be needed if transferring to another college and/or for some employers. It is mandatory to complete a release form.

Financial Aid

During the Grad Fair, the Financial Aid Office will be available in our office for exit counseling with students who borrowed student loan money while attending SUNY Niagara.

  • The Financial Aid Office will provide you with a printout of your student loan information. This includes the total amount borrowed, whom you borrowed with, and the schools that you borrowed money from.
  • If you are unable to come to the office, please go to studentaid.gov to complete your federally mandated student loan Exit Counseling requirement. Click here for more information on how to complete the Exit Interview and for information on student loan repayment including repayment options, how to apply for deferment or forbearance, and when repayment will start.

Cashier's Office

Students can stop by the Cashier’s Office to check the status of their student account to confirm it is free of any holds which could preclude you from graduating. Holds are also viewable from Banner Web.

Career & Transitional Services

Career Services: If you want to discuss employment opportunities, get guidance on conducting a job search, have cover letters and resumes reviewed, and get feedback on interview skills.

Transfer Services: If you want to discuss choosing a transfer college, academic programs, cost, location, campus size, and transfer services.

Student Life

Stop by Student Life to fill out a co-curricular transcript. Showcase your involvement, awards received, and leadership positions you have held during your time at SUNY Niagara.

Co-curricular transcripts will be sent along with your official transcripts.

Alumni Office

Once you graduate from SUNY Niagara, you’re automatically part of the Alumni Association. That means you get access to events and networking opportunities, career help, discounts on insurance and gym memberships, and more.
