NCCC Approved by SUNY for International Business Associate Degree

Niagara County Community College today announced its newest program in the Business Education Department. NCCC has been approved by the State of New York for its International Business Associate in Science Degree.

“More than ever, business is now carried out in a global arena,” stated NCCC President James P. Klyczek. “The world has become more economically connected and there is an ever increasing need for business people with an international perspective set upon a strong foundation in business skills. In a global arena, each aspect of management, marketing, operations, supply chain management, etc. must be carried out with sensitivity to cultural, geographic, and economic differences that may exist between regions and countries. Our International Business Associate in Science Degree prepares students for just that.”

The associate in science program is a two-year academic degree program for students who are considering a career in international business and plan to transfer to a four-year institution for the completion of the baccalaureate degree, and even a master’s degree. This degree program offers transfer opportunities upon completion of all course work. Graduates may transfer to SUNY Brockport, D’Youville College, and Canisius College for undergraduate and graduate degrees in International Business.

Susan M. Siegmann, Associate Professor of Business Education will be available for any questions on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Niagara County Community College’s Open House.
