Transcript Notations – Student Code of Conduct

NCCC Student Code of Conduct includes as one of the possible sanctions a list of transcript notations that can applied to a student’s academic transcript. These notations will only be applied if the student was suspended, expelled or withdrew from the college while an investigation is being conducted. If the infraction violated a protection under Title IX, the notation will specifically designate that on the student’s transcript.

Students may appeal for removal of a suspension or withdrawal notation. Expulsions may not be expunged from the record. Appeals will be considered 6 years after the sanction was applied.

Notations to the college transcript include:

  1. Suspended after a finding of responsibility for a code of conduct violation
  2. Expelled after a finding of responsibility for a code of conduct violation
  3. Withdrew with conduct charges pending
  4. Suspended after a finding of responsibility for a Title IX code of conduct violation
  5. Expelled after a finding of responsibility for a Title IX code of conduct violation
  6. Withdrew with Title IX conduct charges pending

For more information about these sanctions and the definitions associated with Title IX, please refer to the Student Right’s and Responsibilities, Code of Conduct.
